     As a National Historic Site, Parks Canada is responsible for both protection and commemoration of the site. There are many other agencies involved as well in protecting various elements at the Narrows - the water, the fish, the wetlands. The Mnjikaning Fish Fence Circle also plays a role in preservation and protection.
